Overall, the results are very positive. The boat is able to maintain good speed, as the propeller seems to be working more efficiently. It's a noticeable improvement from before, when the boat would slow down considerably, requiring more throttle input.

Tykkään vähän tuunata venettä ja Torqeedoa, joten kavitaatiolevyn hommaaminen oli aika selkee juttu. Eron huomaa parhaiten just siinä liukukynnyksellä – paatti kulkee vakaammin ja kone löytää optimikierrokset nopeammin. Jos tekniikka kiinnostaa ja haluut puristaa sähkökoneesta vähän ekstratehoa irti, tää on kyllä kokeilemisen arvoinen palikka.

Wir nutzen einen Torqeedo am kleinen Familienboot, oft mit Kindern und viel Gepäck. Mit der Cavitation Plate kommt das Boot leichter ins Gleiten, selbst wenn wir voll beladen sind. Außerdem gibt es weniger Spritzwasser am Heck und in Kurven fühlt es sich stabiler und kontrollierter an. Für unseren Einsatzbereich eine klare Empfehlung.

Step One

Unboxing & Tool Preparation

Carefully open your package. To ensure a smooth installation process, please prepare the required tools beforehand. Installation is straightforward. You will need a 5.5 mm wrench and a 2.0 mm hex screwdriver. Additionally, you will need a measuring tape and either a pencil or masking tape to mark the correct placement on your electric motor's shaft.

Step Two

Positioning & Marking

Place the cavitation plate onto the shaft, directly above the propeller. For the plate to work most effectively, it must be tilted slightly downwards, exactly as shown in the picture. Use your measuring tape to align it: the recommended height is 1.5 to 2 cm above the propeller (measured from the tip of the cavitation plate). Once the plate is perfectly positioned and angled, use your pencil or tape to clearly mark this exact spot on the shaft.

Step Three

Final Mounting & Securing

Now that the installation position is marked, you can remove the protective backing from the double-sided 3M adhesive tape. Carefully realign the plate with your marked spot and press it against the shaft. Finally, bring the left and right sides of the plate together. Using your 2.0 mm hex screwdriver and 5.5 mm wrench. Don't worry: the screws are self-locking and will not vibrate loose! That's it – your installation is complete.
